The teaching of the workshop will seek to
adapt the presentation to fit each group and its particular needs.
The TRANSCEND approach introduce empathy,
nonviolence, creativity into conflict practice: understand conflict partner
from the inside, feeling their logic, identitying valid goals and nonviolent
approaches to attain them, eliciting from all parties joint creativity
to find ways of transcencing the imcompatibilities. The very word TRANSCEND
is meant to indicate "go beyond" -to find the creative solutions that the
parties could not think of it their locked positions.
The TRANSCEND approach aim at:

Increasing the creativity, motivation and
faith of the conflicts to see possibilities - and an ability to install
hope

Increasing the creativity, motivation and
faith of the parties to arrive at peaceful solutions

Increasing understanding of violence: Direct
violence, psychological or mental violence, structural or systemic violence

Increasing a general vision for a non-violent
society - a peace culture.

are a number of ways you can take part in Peace Boat, both on board and
on land. Transcend teaches on board.

Pskov, Russia. I have worked as an assistant to professor Johan Galtung
in several workshops over the last 3 years since 1998. I also
work closely with Dr. Olga Vorkunova, Moscow: Forum
Center for Development and Peace Studies. Our plans in the next years
